Watch Out People!!! I am Walking!

Well, starting to take a step or two. I took my first steps tonight!!!!

I have been walking behind some pushing toys and cruising for a month or so, but today I had to bravery to go at it on my own.

Mom and dad have been trying to get me to take a step or two to them for a week or so, calling for me from a couple feet away while I was standing up at a wall or table. I would look at them, smile, go to my knees, and crawl to them.

Tonight, I was holding on to mom's knee, and dad tried to get me to walk to him. I looked at him, smiled, let go of mom, and tried to take a step to him. Luckily, he caught me. Gosh he was proud of me!

Then mom and dad (and AB) started to try to get me to go back and forth a couple steps between them. I stood up a few times, and dad held my waist a couple times to help me keep my balance.

Then when AB was holding her arms out for me, I DID IT! I took two good steps and fell into her arms! It was great! She was so happy and laughing.

It is on now! There is no stopping me!!! Watch out world (especially you mom and dad :-))

Where have I been?

Well, I have been here...hanging out. Still not crawling. I must admit...I am pretty lazy. I'll get around to moving soon though (maybe).

Well, it only took me 157 days, but I finally built up the strength to roll over today for the first time! Check me out! And no, I am not suffocating...daddy just didn't have good timing snapping the pic.

Big Sis Makes Me Laugh

147 Days

What is 147 days you ask? That is the number of days it took me to cut my first tooth! I made mom and dad (mostly mom...sorry 'bout that momma) get up every hour or two last night. I tried to tell them my gums were hurting, but I guess they don't understand "Eli-speak" yet. This morning, mom figured it out. She put her finger in my mouth (she won't be doing that once I get all my fangs in), ran it along my gums, and felt my first lil tooth poking through! Her and dad got very excited! I'll try to sleep through the night tonight, just for you mom and dad. Once my tooth pokes out more, I'll be sure to post a picture for you all! Here is one of me just looking cute for you guys.

Can You Hear Me Now?

As a matter of fact, I can. As you may know, I had some hearing issues when I was hatched and I've been in and out of doctor's offices for the past couple months (it's no wonder I haven't caught a cold or the flu with all of those trips to waiting rooms). Well, last week, the audiologist confirmed for mommy and daddy what I've known all along. I CAN hear my big sister loud and clear! Not only have I gotten an all clear on my ears, my 4-month checkup weighed me in at 16.5 pounds. So when I am not listening to what's going on around me, I am eating!

In fact, the doctor said I'm not rolling over yet 'cause I'm such a chunky monkey. Apparently it takes longer for big babies to get their roll on 'cause we have so much to roll. So for now, I'm just laying back taking it all in. I'll be on the move soon though.

3 Month Old Sleepy Head

Yup! That is what I am...I turned 3 months old on Monday, and weighed in at a whopping 15 pounds. Who needs to go to the gym when you have me to tot around?

The other big news is a slept through the night last night! You read that right...10:30 - 7:30. I had some minor issues getting to sleep, but once I was down, I was out! For most of the nights this past week, I have been sleeping between 8-9 hours in the first shift, waking up around 4 or 5 AM for a snack (thanks mommy), and then going back to sleep for a couple hours. I tell you what...this sleeping thing is nice, although I do miss being help by mommy so much at night.
